STARBUCKS ASSISTANT STORE MANAGER (m/f/d)

ABOUT THE ROLE

We believe a coffeehouse should be more than a place to grab a drink. It should feel welcoming, energetic, and unmistakably human. As Assistant Store Manager, you help bring that to life every day.

You support the Store Manager in leading the business, developing the team, and ensuring that every guest experience reflects the quality and hospitality we stand for. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in operations, enjoys building strong teams, and wants to grow into broader store leadership responsibility.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

​Team Leadership & Development

  • Support the recruitment, onboarding, and integration of new team members
  • Coach, motivate, and develop employees to build a high-performing and engaged team
  • Support performance and development conversations together with the Store Manager
  • Lead by example and create a culture of trust, accountability, and collaboration

Store Operations

  • Help ensure smooth daily operations and consistent execution of company standards
  • Plan shifts, support workforce scheduling, and help manage labor costs responsibly
  • Monitor routines, workflows, cleanliness, food safety, and product quality
  • Take ownership of the store during the Store Manager’s absence

Guest Experience

  • Deliver excellent service and create a warm, memorable in-store atmosphere
  • Actively support the team on the floor and remain close to guests and daily operations
  • Ensure every beverage, every interaction, and every detail reflects our brand promise

Business Performance

  • Support the Store Manager in driving commercial performance and operational efficiency
  • Assist with monitoring store KPIs, staffing needs, and productivity
  • Help identify opportunities to improve results, service standards, and team performance

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Leadership experience in hospitality, retail, foodservice, or a similar customer-facing environment
  • A genuine passion for coffee, service, and people development
  • Strong communication skills and a confident, positive presence on the floor
  • Good organizational skills and a structured, hands-on way of working
  • A proactive mindset and the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
  • Good English language skills
